Dr. M. Asfar DDS, MSD
Dr. Asfar a Maxillofacial Prosthodontist provides a large variety of services designed to replace missing teeth and stabilize those teeth which are loose. Patients throughout the Michigan area can trust Dr. Asfar, who uses advanced treatments such as full mouth rehabilitation and dental implants.
Dr. Asfar is a candidate Doctor of Dental Surgery at University of Detroit Mercy (UDM). He completed his postdoctoral specialty training in Prosthodontics and then an Implant fellowship from New York University. In 2014 he became a diplomate of International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). Following his training at NYU, he completed a fellowship in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics and Oral Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston Texas, serving as chief fellows.
Dr. Asfar currently serves as an adjunct clinical faculty in the department of clinical dentistry at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, teaching third and fourth dental students proper prosthodontics restoration techniques for complex patient treatment and utilizing his advanced restorative skills in clinical settings. Dr. Asfar was recently published in the October 2018 Journal of Prosthodontics, you can read his article here on Maxillofacial Prosthodontics. He still has papers placed for peer review to be published in the future.

He is a frequent lecturer for private study groups regarding best practices for clinical success in dentistry, ceramics, complex treatment planning, maxillofacial prosthetics treatment, denture rehabilitation, and several other subjects.
